In a tragic incident, a social media influencer and his beloved Golden Retriever died in a car accident just two days before the end of a lifelong dream road trip from Brazil to Alaska.
According to FreedomJesse Koz, 29, of Basel and his pet dog Shurast died instantly last week after his 1978 Volkswagen Beetle Oregon crashed into a head-on collision with a Ford Escape in the United States. Ford’s female driver, on the other hand, survived the crash and was taken to hospital in critical condition, with a child in the back of the car not injured.
Media outlets reported that Mr. Koz has traveled to 17 countries with his pets since starting his first trip in 2017. The journey was supposed to end in Alaska, but the journey slowed down in 2020 due to the Covid-19 epidemic. And cross-border restrictions that prevent him from driving across the U.S.-Mexico border.

The 29-year-old was forced to return to his homeland, however, the influential began his journey again in January this year and immigrated to the United States in February.
That same month, Mr. Koz even posted a picture of himself with his dog in front of the sunset. In the caption, he writes, “I told her how important she was to me, and I could not have come this far without her company. She just hung her tongue and smiled and didn’t breathe towards my face. I just wanted to enjoy a sunset with my friend, I know we still have a lot to come and as long as it’s up to me we’ll always be together until the last sunset. “
The Brazilian influencer regularly shared pictures of his campaign with his 5,89,000 Instagram followers. An official page creator has also garnered around 1.4 million followers for their road trip journaling.
