New Delhi:

Singapore has invented beer-brewing with the introduction of ‘Newbrew’. While it may look or taste like normal beer, it does have an unconventional twist. The brewery’s unique craft beer is made using ‘Newwater’, a Singapore brand of clean, high-quality water recycled from sewage and urine.

About 95 percent of Newbrew are made with neuter, which not only complies with international standards for safe drinking water but is also clean enough to be used to make beer.

With a smooth toasted honey-like aftertaste, the sewage-recyclable beer is made using the finest ingredients like premium German barley malt, fragrant citrus and calypso hops, as well as a highly sought-after strain of kevic, farm-house yeast. Norway.

According to The Straits Times, the Newbrew was launched by the national water agency PUB and local craft beer brewery ‘Brewerkz’ in conjunction with the Water Conference at the Singapore International Water Week (SIWW).

Neuter does not contaminate the flavors of malt, hops and yeast strains that are carefully controlled by brewers in the production of craft beer.

According to Mr. Ryan Yewen, Managing Director of SIWW, Newbrew is probably Singapore’s ‘green beer’ for the purpose of raising awareness for water recycling and reuse.

The country’s water agency has found a way to address the inevitable water crisis by launching the drink to raise awareness about Singapore’s water shortages.

Beer brewing using recycled water was not first introduced by Newbrew. Craft beer company ‘Stone Brewing’ launched ‘Stone Full Circle Pale Ale’ in 2017. Other breweries, such as Crust Group and Super Loco Group, also launched their own versions of a craft beer using clean sewage recycled water. .
