Former United States President Barack Obama recently shared his virtual reunion with Jacob Philadelphia, the boy who famously touched his head in a 2009 photo “Hair Like Mine”.
Jacob Philadelphia was only five years old when he went to the Oval Office with his parents and older brother. He asked Mr. Obama if his hair was like his, following which the then President of the United States leaned down and let him touch his hair. The moment was captured on camera and later dubbed “Hair Like Me”.
Now, almost 13 years later, Mr. Obama meets with Jacob again and shares a video of their conversation. The former president congratulated the teenager on graduating from his high school and reflected his interaction with the young man in 2009.
